Washington State NDs: CME for New Requirements

The annual conferences and our audio and video libraries are approved for the new continuing education requirement for Washington Naturopathic Doctors.

New continuing education rules became effective January 1, 2021 for WA NDs. The changes provide specific direction on options available for meeting the CE requirement as Category 1 or 2 credits.

Live Events for Washington Naturopathic Doctors

Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine (Online, March 22 – 24, 2024)

  • Up to 35.5 hours Category 1 or Category 2 CE of which 13 can be pharmacy
    • Approved by: Sonoran University of Health Services (SUHS)
    • Pending approval by: Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine (OBNM) and American Association of Family Physicians (AAFP)

Medicines from the Earth Herb Symposium (Black Mountain, NC or Online, May 17-19, 2024)

  • Will be submitted to OBNM and AAFP for continuing education credits

How to Request a CE Certificate:

  1. Purchase recordings online through our audio library and/or video library.
  2. Fill out our CE Quiz Form that meets the WA ND CE requirements for having a quiz.
  3. Follow the instructions on the form to submit it and then you will receive your certificate via email within 14 days.

Category 1 CE: Recordings from our Southwest Conferences are approved by Sonoran University (formerly SCNM) CE Board which is accepted as Category 1 CE.

Category 2 CE: Recordings from our past Medicines from the Earth Symposiums and our past Southwest Conferences are approved by OBNM which is accepted as Category 2 CE.
