Exhibitor Information

Please note the SW Conference is now going virtual! We just found out today that SCNM has cancelled all their live events, and we will send information as soon as we can about your exhibitor registration.

Location: Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM), 2140 E. Broadway Rd in Tempe, AZ (on the north side of East Broadway, just west of the intersection of Price and E. Broadway). Registration office phone: 541-482-3016.

Meal Cost: $45 per person for a three-meal package: Saturday lunch and dinner and Sunday lunch. Catered by Bene Plates. Exhibitors eat early before the meal breaks. If you would like to add meals to your registration, please email the Sponsorship Coordinator at caitlin@botanicalmedicine.org.

Note Cafe Hours: Bene Plates Cafe will NOT be open on Saturday and Sunday except to serve our group, so if you are not taking the meal plan you will have to eat off campus or bring your own food. Last date to add meals to your registration: March 20. 

Lodging: Embassy Suites, 4400 S. Rural Road in Tempe, just 6 minutes from SCNM.

  • Update: There are a few rooms left at Embassy Suites (first come, first serve). Please contact Ben Borst at Embassy Suites to inquire about remaining rooms available for Southwest Conference attendees. Phone: 480-682-0122.

Exhibitor Details:

1. Each exhibitor is supplied with an 8′ rectangular table and chairs. Bring table coverings or draping.

2. Please keep us informed of the names of your exhibitors by emailing the Sponsorship Coordinator at caitlin@botanicalmedicine.org. Exhibitor package includes registration for two at the table. Extra people pay a special rate of $245 per person.

3. Set-up in the exhibit area is from 2-6 PM Friday, March 27 and 7-10 AM Saturday, March 28. (If you are arriving later on Friday and want to set up that evening, email caitlin@botanicalmedicine.org). The exhibit area is open during breaks and meals; the first official break is at 11 AM Saturday, but attendees do come to the exhibit hall before then. The conference ends at 5:30 PM on Sunday, March 29.

4. Tables are staffed during breaks and meals. You may want to bring an extra cloth to cover your exhibit when you aren’t there. The exhibit halls are locked at night.

5. Shipping: If you would like to ship materials to the conference, they should arrive no earlier than Monday, March 23. Please put the letters BOT in the lower-left corner of the mailing face of every package. Address them to:

6. The conference is not responsible for lost or stolen articles and cannot ship goods back to exhibitors. All shipping after the conference is the exhibitor’s responsibility.

Cost: $25 per person (group rate for botanical garden)
Location:  Desert Botanical Garden
Details: We will meet in the college parking lot at 3:40 PM Saturday to carpool to the garden. Bring a hat and cool clothing.

 

Sunday Morning Herb Walk – Sunday, March 29, 8:30 AM–10:30 AM

Cost: $25 per person (group rate for botanical garden)
Location:  Desert Botanical Garden
Details: If you need a ride from Embassy Suites to the garden, indicate that when you sign up and we will do our best to find you a ride.

 


Continuing Education Information

Please sign up in advance for your CE program even if there’s no extra charge. Add it to your registration by emailing the Sponsorship Coordinator at caitlin@botanicalmedicine.org. Full continuing education details.

  • Arizona Naturopathic Physicians: (Approved by SCNM CE)
    20.5 possible general hours of which 13 can be pharmacy (or 11 pharm and 3 opioid addiction). Includes attendance at Friday events.
  • Oregon Naturopathic Physicians: (Approved by OBNM)
    20.5 general hours of which 12.5 can be pharmacy and 1.5 ethics for selected lectures. Includes attendance at Friday pre-conference intensive.
  • California Naturopathic Physicians: (Approved by CNDA)
    20.5 general hours of which 13 can be pharmacy. Includes attendance at Friday events.
    Cost: Extra charge of $35 for California-licensed NDs due to high cost of the app.
  • Acupuncturists: (Approved by NCCAOM)
    20.5 PDA (hours) which includes attendance at Friday events.
  • California Acupuncturists: (Approved by California Board of Acupuncture)
    CEP Provider #1552, approved for 20.5 Category 1 CE.

Please note: The field study and the afternoon intensive overlap so you can only attend one or the other. Total possible for all types of CE on Friday is 7 hours.

Nursing CE: Nursing Continuing Education is no longer being offered for this event.

A certificate of attendance is available to any participant who requests it.


Other Conference Information

If you are flying to Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, Embassy Suites provides a complimentary van to the hotel. Call the front desk after you get your luggage at 480-897-7444 (stay on the line through all the prompts and you will be connected to the front desk to make your van request). For other airport transportation, Lyft and Uber offer services or reserve the SuperShuttle online or phone: 800-258-3826.

Children: Please don’t bring young children or infants to the lectures. Thank you for honoring this request.

Pets are not allowed at the conference.

Lecture Notes: Online books free to all registrants. Printed books are available at registration for $20. Audio recordings are also available during and after the conference.

Cancellations: Before March 1, 2020 all exhibitor registration fees will be refunded minus $100 processing per registrant. No refunds can be given after March 1, 2020. Please email refund requests to our contact form.
