Interleukin1 (IL1) includes a family of closely related cytokines that affect inflammatory pathways. A new major causative trigger to this inflammatory catabolic is the IL B1/Inflammasome (NLRP3). The IL-B1/inflammasome is essential for maintaining a delicate balance between pro- and anti-inflammatory signals in order to generate an appropriate immune response without harming the host.
