Format: Video

Speaker: Stansbury, Jill

Speaker: Jillian Stansbury, ND Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide and is both preventable and treatable.  Not only are cigarette use and smoke inhalation contributory, non-smokers can also develop the pathology following long-term exposure to indoor air pollution and noxious fumes.  This session reviews the pathophysiology, leading drugs for COPD, and how botanicals and nutrients can be complementary and fuel future drug development.
