Speaker: Roy Upton. There are a number of external therapies in traditional Chinese medicine to augment internal therapies. These are discussed and demonstrated. Cupping involves application of a vacuum to a specific area of the body. Moxabustion involves application of heat to local areas. The actions, therapeutic indications, primary acupuncture points of application, contraindications and precautions are given for each therapy.
