Ancient cultures of Egypt, India and the Americas offered techniques of diagnosis and prescribing which are very different from modern practice. A timeless Truth can emerge from an examination of these traditions, and this talk aims to describe it. The practice of modern botanical medicine is at a crossroads- making it necessary to reconcile the vast database of the preratioinal world with the newer understandings provided by a rational, scientific understanding of the human organism. Where do we go from here?
