26SW20 - Modulating Immune Response: Nutritional and Botanical Therapies for Autoimmune Issues

Format: Video

Speaker: Wendy Warner, MD, ABIHM, IFMCP

This lecture examines integrative nutritional and botanical strategies for supporting immune regulation in autoimmune conditions. Participants will review the immunologic mechanisms underlying autoimmunity, including dysregulated inflammation, loss of immune tolerance, and gut–immune interactions. Evidence-informed use of botanicals such as Curcuma longa, Boswellia serrata, Astragalus membranaceus, and Glycyrrhiza glabra will be discussed alongside nutritional interventions targeting micronutrient deficiencies, fatty acid balance, and intestinal permeability. Clinical considerations for individualized treatment planning, safety, and coordination with conventional therapies will be emphasized.
