While modern medicine puts great store in double-blind, placebo-controlled evidence for the use of drugs, botanicals and other therapies in medicine, such studies are not always without flaws. Evidence of therapeutic success also comes to us from the healing traditions of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and more recently from the Eclectic physicians of the early 1900s.
