Speaker: Lise Alschuler, ND This presentation reviews the key physiological processes contributing to diverticulitis, which can provide the basis for a botanical approach to healing. First and foremost, we focus on prevention, using comprehensive lifestyle and botanical recommendations. We then look at strategies to mitigate acute inflammation and pain related to diverticulitis. Relevant research findings on select botanicals are presented, including Berberis spp., Ulmus spp., Curcuma longa, and Zingiber.
