Format: Video

Speaker: Lise Alschuler, ND, FABNO, eMBA

This lecture explores how botanical medicine can be used to influence inflammation, immune function, detoxification, and metabolic balance in oncology care. Participants will review evidence-informed use of botanicals such as Curcuma longa, Camellia sinensis, Ganoderma lucidum, Astragalus membranaceus, and Withania somnifera to support immune surveillance, reduce oxidative stress, and improve resilience during conventional treatment. Clinical strategies for safely integrating herbs alongside chemotherapy and radiation will be discussed, including considerations for herb–drug interactions and timing of administration. The session emphasizes individualized, terrain-focused care that supports quality of life, vitality, and whole-person healing.
