PAUL BERGNER

Paul Bergner is editor of Medical Herbalism journal and director of the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism in Boulder, CO, where he teaches classes in botanical medicine and operates a teaching clinic. He has practiced natural medicine for over thirty years and is author of seven books on herbalism, nutrition and ethnobotany. 

MARTHA BURGESS
Martha Burgess has been introducing people to the Sonoran desert and its gifts for many years, inspired by her Tohono O'Odham mentors from whom she learned the ancient ways of plant harvest, preparation and medicinal uses. She is past director of Native Seeds/SEARCH.

AMANDA McQUADE CRAWFORD, MNIMH
Amanda McQuade Crawford is a graduate of Britain’s College of Phytotherapy and has recently returned from New Zealand where she was the senior clinic tutor at Canterbury College. She is currently an herbal consultant in Los Angeles and is author of The Herbal Menopause Book and Herbal Remedies for Women.

DAVID CROW, LAc
David Crow has been an acupuncturist and herbalist for over 20 years. His book, In Search of the Medicine Buddha, describes his studies with Ayurvedic and Tibetan physicians in the Himalayas. He is founder of Floracopeia Aromatic Treasures, which supports ecologically sustainable agriculture, and co-founder of The Learning Garden, a school garden in Venice, CA.

DHARMENDRA DUBE, MD (Ayurveda)
Dr. Dube is the director of Amritayu Healthcare Ltd in India and a consultant for Amrita Veda Ayurveda in Pasadena, CA.  After training in both conventional and alternative medicine, he has practiced Ayurvedic medicine for over 10 years, with a specialty in pulse diagnosis and marma therapy, using these skills to treat a variety of conditions including arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and psychological behaviors in children.  He travels the US, Canada and India giving pulse diagnosis consultations and offering Ayurvedic marma and herbal therapies.

DEBORAH FRANCES, ND
Deborah Frances, Beautiful Little Dancing Crow, is a naturopathic physician practicing in Oregon. Her approach to healing is shaped by her experience as a homeopath, naturopath, Jungian dream therapist and 
by the teachings of her Lakota ancestry. 


CASCADE ANDERSON GELLER
Cascade Anderson Geller has been an herbal practitioner and educator for over 20 years. She has been on the faculty of all three naturopathic colleges. She teaches herbal medicine and leads herb walks near her home in Portland, Oregon.

PHYLLIS HOGAN
The owner of Winter Sun Trading Company in Flagstaff, Phyllis Hogan founded the Arizona Ethnobotanical Research Association in 1983. She teaches ethnobotany in bilingual programs for the Pima, Hualapai, Havasupai & Navajo tribes.

TORI HUDSON, ND
Dr. Tori Hudson, Naturopathic Physician, graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in 1984 and has served the college in several capacities, including: Medical Director, Associate Academic Dean, and Academic Dean. She is currently a professor at The National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) and clinical professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Bastyr University, has been in practice for 22 years, is the medical director of her clinic, “A Woman’s Time” in Portland, Oregon, and director of product research and education for VITANICA.   She is the author of The Women’s Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine, and serves on several editorial boards, advisory panels and as a consultant to the natural products industry. 

MIMI KAMP
Mimi Kamp has been working with native herbs and flower essences in the southwest for over 30 years. A teacher, practitioner, botanist, lecturer, illustrator, wild-crafter and medicine-maker, she leads plant walks with a range of inquiry from simple local plant use to communication with plant beings for therapy and awareness. She has studied with Michael Moore and illustrated many of his books. Her focus is on the magic and healing of plants and place - of natural habitat and the role of plants as helpers and teachers. 

MICHAEL MOORE
Michael Moore's books on medicinal plants of the bioregions of the West are best known for their usefulness, scientific accuracy and humor.  They include: Medicinal Plants of the Desert and Canyon West, the Mountain West and the Pacific West.  He is the director of the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine in Bisbee , Arizona .  

SUMITA PRAJAPATI, MD (Ayuveda)
Dr. Prajapati is an M.D. (Mumbai, India) as well as an experienced practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine. She combines Ayurvedic and Western diagnostic and therapeutic techniques including Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis. She specializes in women’s health care.


KENNETH PROEFROCK, ND

A graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, Kenneth Proefrock conducts a private practice in naturopathic medicine in the Phoenix area. He teaches nutritional biochemistry at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine.

OANN SANCHEZ
JoAnn Sanchez is the author and director of the accredited two-year training for herbalists at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also teaches at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and is owner of Botanica, where she does both clinical work and custom compounding.
