Title: Compounding, Formulating and Dosages
Speaker: Mary Bove, ND
Considering the individual case history is the first step to determining the proper formula and dosage. Treating the whole person as well as the symptoms and the underlying cause is of paramount importance. Guidelines for treatment include choosing actions based on treatment goals and selecting the botanicals having the required action. Selecting the type of herbal preparation is also important, and the choices are discussed, including internal vs external; hot vs cold, and using vinegar as a delivery system for the urinary tract. Hints for compounding and the respective merits of relaxants and stimulants round out this presentation.
