Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine 2003, Tape #16

Title: Herbal Therapies for Coughs- Preparing an Herbal Cough Elixir

Speaker: Cascade Anderson Geller

This lecture begins with a description of botanical therapies for coughs.  The majority of the class was spent in making the elixir (cherry bark, cottonwood buds, fennel seeds, horehound, licorice, mullein, orange peel and thyme).  The Proceedings Book article on this topic may be a useful aid for  following the recipe and preparation techniques.  This was a workshop and demonstration, so there are some gaps in the tape for stirring, measuring and pressing!
