Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine 2003, Tape #13

Title: Panel Discussion: Botanical Therapies for Diseases of Pelvic Congestion in Women and Men

Panelists: Debra Brammer, ND, Deborah Frances, ND, Cascade Anderson Geller and Jill Stansbury, ND

Pelvic stagnation is a term used more by herbalists, acupuncturists and naturopathic physicians than by the regular medical community.  It includes a quality of tone and condition of the tissues that is best addressed holistically.  Causes include mechanical, muscular, vascular and renal (kidney) dysfunction.  This panel addresses all those and presents four different facets of treatment.  Botanical therapies include the use of saw palmetto, black cohosh, unicorn root, red root and many others.
