Title: External Applications in Traditional Chinese Medicine

There are a number of external therapies that are used in traditional Chinese medicine to augment internal therapies. These were discussed and demonstrated. Cupping involves application of a vacuum to a specific area of the body. Moxabustion involves application of heat to local areas. The actions, therapeutic indications, primary acupuncture points of application, contraindications and precautions are given for each therapy.
