Many plants throughout history have been used to invoke a connection with the sacred. Such rituals were an integral part of the social and spiritual well-being of many cultures. This talk examines the ancient uses of these ritual and religious aids, and the modern scientific evidence. Plants discussed include Passiflora, Arariba, Peganum and others.
